The award produced in the 29 October plenary session will be an increase of over € 500,000 per year for the council.
Note from PSOE:
The regular plenary session held on October 29 was the final award of the administrative concession of refuse collection and street cleaning company to STV, to vote against the Socialist Municipal Group.
The vote against the Socialists was based on the fact that this company has been preceded by a wide labor unrest and the escalation in cost, which has no further correspondence with improved service.
The new contract is pass a budget in 2008 of € 900,000 and € 810,000 in 2009 at a cost of € 1,319,921.44 per year for 25 years, or whatever it is, € 32,998,036 in the period.
In addition, during the first year, the City will only pay monthly fees of € 1,070, a total of € 12,840, prorated the rest of the 24 remaining years, while the neighbors will continue to pay, predictably, the same rate.
Thus, the cost for 24 of the 25 year life of the contract is € 1,374,383.16, which translates into € 564,383.16 more than budgeted for 2009.
Avocado This is unavoidable due to a sharp rise in the receipt of waste, with the neighbors who pay the consequences.
Rise, on the other hand, that does not have to take place next year as the year of "deficiency" in payment to the company, stretching to 2011 or 2012, just after local elections.
At this same meeting, the PP PSOE rejected a motion to support the Platform for Popular Legislative Initiative in Defence of the Tajo-Segura Aqueduct.
