General Account of 2006, the last socialist government team, closed with EUR 170,826.50 surplus.

The years 2007 and 2008, the PP government, the budget has closed more than a million euros in deficit.

Although the PP government team argues that the budget gap is due to declining revenues from the crisis, this statement is false.

In 2008 there was a higher net revenue to 26.4% in 2006 (year ended with a surplus).

This shortfall, coupled with two awards of credit (bills of 2008 for which no budget and must be paid under the 2009), creates a gap in 2008 of € 2,286,691.75.

(380.2 million pesetas).

According to the Municipal Socialist Group spokesman, José Antonio Mira, "the problem is not lack of income by the crisis, but the lack of control on spending and a disproportionate increase in current expenditure which has resulted in two years at a City Council unworkable with and without acute crisis. "
