Several technicians and experts of the Autonomous Region have moved to Santomera to conduct a geological study of the floor of the Health Center, whose data will be included within the proposed extension of the center plans to undertake the Ministry of Health in the municipality.
The project is in the drafting period action star seen as the integration of existing emergency service facilities within the Health Center, resulting in a common building bigger than allow the expansion of the ambulance staff by the inclusion of new specialties.
To achieve this goal, the counseling will use the corridor that currently separates the emergency department of the clinic as a link between the two facilities, enabling two levels which will create new queries that incorporating sustainability practitioners in turn increasing number of patients that will be addressed simultaneously.
"This expansion will allow our residents to enjoy a much more functional health," stressed the mayor, José María Sánchez, after the first round of meetings with the Director General of Planning, Health and Pharmaceutical Management, José Antonio García and subsequently Minister of Health itself, María Ángeles Palacios.
New medical specialties
Among the medical specialties that would accommodate the expansion of the center after gaining strength in psychiatry, gynecology, dentistry including the municipality mayor, José María Sánchez, head of health area in the town said that "the project expected to be drafted and approved this year for the expansion of the Health Center is a reality as soon as possible. "
