After five years of absence the council of Education and Culture has recovered the Municipal School Board by the agreement reached with the boards and members of different AMPAs of five schools in Santomera, La Matanza and Sisco.
The council will play important skills in educational planning in regard to municipal regulations affecting santomeranos schools, agreements with other government mediate addition to managing the resources and funds for educational activities included within the budgets Hall.
Councillor for Education and Culture, Civic Maribel, recalled that "the former socialist corporation in 2004 decided to dispense with the Municipal School Board, a central body to promote democratic participation of all members that make up our school community."
This body should meet every three months and will be chaired by the mayor, José María Sánchez, an inspector from the Ministry of Education's own mayor, Maribel Civic, the city clerk along with nineteen other members - 6 teachers, 6 members of the AMPAS 6 students, 1 janitor representing each of the centers.
Council members have agreed to hold its first plenary session on 20 May, "which will discuss the location in the timing of the three holidays that correspond to Santomera schools, wanted to advance the Councillor for Education and Culture, Civic Maribel .
