Inspired by the mutual enrichment that comes from living with other cultures, 119 graphic designers from five continents have submitted more than 240 illustrations of which finalmente191 have been admitted to the IV International Graphic Humor Contest of 'Santomera 2009'; organized a year by the Department of Equal Opportunity and Immigration.
The fourth edition of the competition closes, leaving behind a record of participation and a greater presence of professional graphic designers who have signed 90% of the entries, of which 21% owned by Spanish authors with a significant presence Murcia artists, inspired by the special award for 'Best Work in the Region of Murcia' novelty this year has enabled the organization.
Given the multicultural nature of the contest marking this year the jury has had a cultural mediator of Moroccan origin, Drissia Bouferaa, along with the social worker, Lola Zaragoza, graphic designer, Fernando Sabater and mayors of Equal Opportunity and Immigration and Tourism , María Dolores Abellán and Civic Maribel, respectively.
The first prize worth 1,000 euros to travel to Bulgaria Rumen hands of Rostov, the second prize 700 euros were awarded to Turkish designer, Musa Humus, the second prizes of 200 euros has Latin accent thanks to Murcia, Valencia and Moses Argentina, Mario Gonzalez, while the best illustration of the entire region has signed David Lopera.
