The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the councilman of Youth Santomera, Víctor Manuel Martínez, presented yesterday at the youth rally 'Interesculta 09', which meet during this weekend over 400 scouts from 14 to 17 years in the landscape of the Coto Tables and Santomera reservoir.
He also attended the presentation by the chairman of ASDE-Explorers of Murcia, José Antonio Nieto, and meeting coordinator, Carlos Lopez.
Participants come from 28 groups ASDE Scouts Association of Cartagena, Cieza, Aguilas, Lorca, Alhama de Murcia, San Javier and Murcia, and for the first time this year has invited young people of Andalusia, Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha.
During this cohabitation has organized various activities for leisure such as games, talks and workshops in order to enable participants to develop their creativity, spirit of excellence, values and knowledge.
The director of the Institute for Youth highlighted the commitment to the organization's associations and values that promote equality and cooperation.
This meeting aims to live with scouts from other groups, learn to work together and take joint decisions, share experiences and concerns and to describe the environment and the municipality of Santomera.
Also be conducted lectures and workshops for participants to learn and reflect on the so-called 'Millennium Development Goals' of the member countries of the United Nations Organization, which establish and develop initiatives to eradicate world poverty and improving quality of life in developing countries.
