The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has co-chaired with the mayor, Jose Maria Sanchez Artes, the Local Security Santomera Township and presented to the new 19 civil guards entering the headquarters of the town after Since its conversion to Principal.

The post has three functional areas:
1 .- Area Public Safety: There shall at all times at least one patrol in the demarcation of responsibility, and other daily patrols to reinforce previous prime-time conflicts or special situations.
2 .- Area hours: shall attend twenty-four hours a day any demand from citizens, such as humanitarian interventions in fires, floods, traffic accidents or other incidents or responses to crime situations consummated.
3 .- Area of Research: It will feature specialists in the investigation of measures and inspections, and criminal investigation.
