Santomera club has read the first female in its history, the project 'pasapágina' offered by the Institute of Women of the Region and the pioneering of twenty santomeranas, that have been launched in the municipality, an initiative to empower women within the local culture through reading.
Structured programming in three quarters of work, aims to develop the reading, analysis and discussions about the books included in 'pasapágina', with activities such as cinema-forum, exhibitions including interviews with the authors of some of the works read .
On Tuesday 18 November, the press room Big House, the headquarters of this club until next June, will host the second of its biweekly meetings, where its 22 members accompanied by the project coordinator, will open the schedule for the first quarter.
Councillor for Women's Rights and Equal Opportunities, María Dolores Abellán, stressed that "only three are left empty spaces in the twenty-five Santomera offered within the pilot phase of this project, to be held during the year 2008-2009 in only six municipalities in the region. "
