The City Council has decisively Santomera stand up to drug use in the municipality, adhering to the Solidarity Foundation and Reintegration responsible for "Project Man", thanks to the council of Women and Equal Opportunities, in charge of giving the foundation a computer equipment and office furniture, plus a grant of 6,908 euros.
From now on the former Centre for Women will become the headquarters of "Proyecto Hombre" in Santomera, hosting an information and support both for adults and for adolescents suffering from any kind of addiction to narcotics and pathological gambling.
"A psychological therapist pay attention not only to the neighbors who suffer some form of drug dependence, to their families," says the mayor, Jose Maria Sanchez, a principal function of a service that is valid for one year with an option for another three more.
Base and evening programs for adults and socially disorganized family, along with a specific business for young people between 15 and 23 years, as the three areas of action of "Proyecto Hombre" around the town of Santomera and areas of influence as the Sisco, La Matanza, Llano de Brujas and Cobatillas.
