Gatherings, film forum, conferences and especially a lot of reading, are the keys to the latter alternative put by the Institute for Women in the Region of Murcia, "pasapágina", a pioneering project aimed at fostering a passion for literature by creation of a Reading Club Santomera only suitable for women in the municipality.
From today until October 24th will be the period within which any of the 20 places offered by the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, to be part of this "exclusive club" that will host meetings Casa Grande, where every fortnight its members engaged in discussions organized literary and cultural activities under the supervision of a coordinator.
"The santomeranas have an excellent opportunity to expand horizons through books," said the Councillor for Women's Rights and Equal Opportunities, María Dolores Abellán, on "pasapágina" whose pilot phase will last until June 2009 in the municipalities of Santomera , Puerto Lumbreras, Fortuna, Cehegín, Archena Abarán and under the watchful eye of six coordinators.
