The CHS began work on the Casa del Agua, which include the construction of a new laboratory analysis of water quality and building an exhibition pavilion of the operation of a turbine hydropower production
The Segura basin, under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment agency has begun work to rehabilitate the file located in the Water House Santomera.
Thanks to these works, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), all users can see in a simple way the more than 20,000 documents that guards the basin organization, among which are some of great historical value.
Visitors and researchers will from now of tables and computers to comfortably view the documents they need.
Rehabilitation in the Casa del Agua include the reform of the upper floor of the south wing, in which the laboratory analysis of the water quality of the CHS will be located.
Thanks to these works of improvement visitors can have a closer look at how it works in the Confederacy.
Thus, the visit to the permanent exhibition and the reservoir of Santomera now the possibility of knowing it all, through glass windows, the laboratory and see how it works to control water quality.
The amount of this action amounts to 485,000 euros.
Moreover, the basin organization has started work to all visitors of the Water House to observe a turbine hydropower production and meet its performance.
Thus, the turbine will have its own exhibition pavilion.
This is one of the most efficient types of hydraulic turbine and is used today in some reservoirs of the Segura basin.
This work will cost 142,000 euros, and will also be co-financed by Feder.
