Santomera is one of the few municipalities in the region of Murcia, which manages the collection of used oil with an association for social and solidarity, as Abraham Project.
The municipality of Santomera and Abraham Project Association signed a cooperation agreement on 4 February, under which, the association with social purposes undertakes to promote the recycling of used vegetable oil by implementing recycling containers this residue on the public roads of the town and develop an awareness campaign in education and associations.
The Santomera Borough Council is one of the few in the region of Murcia who chose to manage the collection of Abraham Project oil, because it is an entity that invests capital raised through the collection, in the occupational workshops to facilitate the development of social and employment skills that enable students cope in the workplace and to employment.
The social actions are centered on collective attention to risk and / or exclusion of Santomera or population sectors particularly affected by unemployment, such as young people, so posed activities will be developed in collaboration with the social services of the municipality.
During the term of the partnership agreement has been developing workshops socio-occupational training in order to promote trades as camera operator, object Audiovisual course, closed on Monday November 18.
