The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, and Santomera Mayor, José María Sánchez, opened this evening the seventh Wine and Food Fair 'Sanvino 2013', which brings up the next Saturday in the Square Prickly this resort, a total of 30 exhibitors, including those found wineries, restaurants and distributors of food sector.
The fair, organized by the Guild Gastronomic Santomera "The Peppery" participating wineries designations of origin of Bullas, Jumilla and Yecla, and PGI Campo de Cartagena and wine companies in the province of Albacete , and restaurants in the region and other parts of the Spanish geography.
Cerda noted that this fair "has become a reference for promoting the wines and produce of the land," adding that "it is a consolidated event and its impact transcends local, regional and even".
The agriculture minister said previous editions "have marked the success that this fair for the catering industry and agri-food", which is visited by more than ten thousand people.
In addition, he stressed that "it is a point to promote our cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere."
Cerda said that "the Region of Murcia has some great quality products and outstanding and a sector that responds at all times to what the market demands."
He stressed that the agri-food supply Murcia "is traditional, yet has undergone a process of modernization and technology that is allowing us to differentiate with a range of healthy and varied products which is quite renowned in the markets."
