Santomera City Council, through the local police, is conducting road safety classes to schoolchildren in the municipality in order to learn the basics of the highway code, such as making a stop or yield, among others.
Classes began on Monday this week will be headlined by the school of 3 and 4 CEIP Nuestra Señora del Rosario Santomera, receiving two theoretical and two practical.
Teaching is carried out by members of the local police Santomera affecting, especially in the knowledge of the natural, social and cultural, travel and transport, responsibility for compliance with basic rules as pedestrians and users, the importance of mobility in everyday life and respect for the rules of road mobility also identify the causes and risk groups in traffic accidents such as pedestrians, passengers, cyclists, among other issues.
As indicated by the Councillor for Education and Culture, Civic Maribel, "with these programs seeks to promote road safety education and attitudes towards risk, such as traffic accidents."
