The Administrative Chamber of the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Murcia dismisses the appeal by Aqualia, confirming the ruling on June 23, 2009 by Court No. 4 of the Administrative Murcia, in which revoked the extension awarded by the Socialist city government for twenty five years of drinking water and sewerage.
On February 9, 2004, the concessionaire of water supply and sewerage, Aqualia, requested the contract extension of this service, three days later, on February 12, the municipal plenary agreed, with the votes of Socialist Party and against the Popular Party, the said extension.
Stresses the Chamber "followed procedural mechanics may not have been more opaque," First we proceed to the cancellation of the contract with the dealer and subsequently approves the extension.
The Chamber stands literally "only in circumstances of lack of transparency and opacity can explain the speed with which they handled the recall process and the granting of an extension."
The sentence is firm, has been received with great satisfaction by the team's governing Popular Party, "as was once himself Santomera Peoples Party who denounced the extension on the grounds that only one tender that they could attend all companies in the sector would guarantee the rights of all residents. "
It should also be noted that the extension contained abusive clauses such as the annual payment must be made to the concessionaire for the water they save.
