The Plenary Hall of Santomera held this morning at an extraordinary session, has given the green light to the suspension of compensation of council members not released, except for commissions paid by the Government, conducted one day a week.
As indicated by the Councillor of Finance and Personnel, Ricardo Ferez, "all these measures will result in savings in the municipal coffers of 45,000 euros per year."
So the mayor and three council members will retain their salary released.
As he explained the mayor, Jose Maria Sanchez Artes, "charge exactly what the Socialist mayor charged more than four years ago, except that I did not billed the City Council or diets, or displacement as it did and was a cost of 4,000 euros per year. "
Finally, Sanchez said, with regard to expenses, "made a commitment in my previous mandate would not pass bills, maintain and keep."
