Santomera City Council, through the Department of Sustainable Development, to mark World Water Day, produced a series of activities in order to remember and raise awareness of the importance of water in people's lives.
As indicated by the Councillor for Sustainable Development, Victor Manuel Martinez, who presented the award "one of the activities that took place was a speech themed on water that was taught in the schools of the municipality, which collaborated with this initiative. "
In addition, the mayor said that other notable activities was a contest called 'Design your way to save', which was to decorate bottles to be introduced for flushing the WC's that have no savings system.
The participants were CEIPS Ricardo Campillo, Our Lady of the Rosary, White and Campoazahar Majal.
The first award was for Jesus Illán, 6 ° B Ricardo Campillo CEIP, and the second was for Joaquín Buitrago, 5 th grade Campoazahar CEIP.
The awards are material to save water and energy in the home, such as low consumption light bulbs and aerators, and a check-school supplies.
