The director general of tourism, Marina García, today introduced the XXXII edition of the Moors and Christians Santomera, which this year will be held from 10 to 19 June.
The ceremony was also attended by the Mayor of Santomera, José María Sánchez and President of the Central Board of Associations of Moors and Christians Santomera, Salvador Cerezo.
Garcia said: "Congratulations from here Santomera the important effort that has been done in this situation so complicated economic crisis in order to take forward a festival with both popular support, which is a win."
He recalled that the Moors and Christians are declared of Regional Tourist Interest since 1990 for its colorful and spectacular, and urged the staff involved in organizing them to continue working on the same line to reach the National Tourism Declaration.
