The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the mayor of Santomera, José María Sánchez, and the councilman of Youth, Sustainable Development, New Technologies, Communication and Celebration, Victor Manuel Martinez, visited the site of Area Youth of the municipality, to be completed in late 2010.
The new facility will cover an area of 256 square meters and is built on a plot of 1,000 square meters.
The building will have two floors, the first of these four offices will be enabled and the second will have a training room and other audiovisuals.
In addition, the Youth Space will house the new offices of the Department of Youth, with Informajoven services and the Office of Emancipation, for advice in matters of employment and accommodation for young people.
There will be several classrooms for workshops to be able to complete the over 3,200 youth in the municipality.
Work began last April and is scheduled to be completed by late 2010.
For the construction of the new unit, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Institute for Youth, has allocated 200,000 euros.
