Three streets in the neighborhood of Carretera de Abanilla will be modernized over the next three months.
These are the Santa Matilde, Campoamor and Tirso de Molina roads, all perpendicular to the Poeta Julián Andúgar avenue, where yesterday a project began to eliminate architectural barriers, renovate the pavement and improve basic sanitation and water supply services. drinking water.
The works, financed entirely by the City of Santomera through the Department of Works and Services, had a bidding budget of 143.704,94 euros.
However, thanks to the request for several offers, that amount was eventually reduced to 116,559.64 euros, which implies a decrease of almost 19% and a saving of 27,145.3 euros.
As has been happening in recent months, in the award process have been considered, in addition to economic, environmental and social criteria, including the obligation that the company winning the contest in this case, Ayllonza SL contract as a pawn for a minimum period of three months to a person registered in our municipality and attached to the National Youth Guarantee System.
Although the term of execution of the works is three months, both the municipal technical services and Ayllonza SL, the winning company of the contest, hope to be able to conclude them beforehand in order to reduce to the maximum the inconvenience caused to the neighborhood.
With that same objective, the workers will concentrate their efforts sequentially in each of the three ways: they started yesterday along Tirso de Molina Street and will only move to Campoamor, and then to Santa Matilde, when the first one is finished.
In both Tirso de Molina and Campoamor, the current pavement will be replaced by a single cobbled platform, while Santa Matilde will retain its layout, although with renewed pavements and asphalt.
The action will be common in the three streets in terms of the complete modernization of their drinking water supply and sanitation networks, which includes the replacement of fiber cement pipes and lead connections with other PVC pipes, of the general meters , valves, manholes and drainage scuppers.
