The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has detected, inside the trailer of a truck from Tangier (Morocco), two undocumented men of Moroccan nationality who, apparently, hid inside it, two days before, to reach the peninsula.
The immigrants, who showed signs of exhaustion and dehydration, after receiving health care, were detained under Organic Law 4/2000 of January 11, on rights and liberties of foreigners in Spain and their social integration, and posts disposition of the Immigration Brigade of the National Police Station of Murcia.
The action began at dawn yesterday, day 18, when a patrol of the Benemérita that was providing service of surveillance and prevention of robberies in the Service Area of ​​Santomera, of the AP-7 highway, meaning Alicante, was required by the driver of a Moroccan license plate truck, who reported having heard noises and voices of help coming from inside the container he was transporting.
The vehicle, coming from Tangier (Morocco) and bound for Barcelona, ​​had a seal, without handling, from the Moroccan customs office of Tangier, where it had left two days earlier with a load of spare parts for vehicles, managed by a logistics company Moroccan.
About 48 hours inside the trailer
Suspecting that inside could travel several people, the agents requested the support of other patrols of the Corps, as well as the Local Police of Santomera and began the work of unsealing the trailer, where they found two men, of Maghrebi origin , who presented symptoms of anxiety, exhaustion and dehydration.
Immediately the emergency health services that came to the place were alerted, while they were identified, which revealed that they were two Moroccan citizens, aged 22 and 23, who lacked documentation to prove their legal entry into the country. National territory.
Once they were treated and stabilized and, by virtue of the Organic Law 4/2000, of January 11, on rights and freedoms of foreigners in Spain and their social integration, they were arrested and placed at the disposal of the Aliens Brigade of the Police Station of the National Police of Murcia.
The truck was meticulously examined by specialists in drug detection of the Civil Guard's cynological service, to rule out the existence of some type of narcotic substance among the transported goods, and resumed its normal march.
