The municipal plenum unanimously approved unanimously, in its ordinary session of May, a modification of the Tax Ordinance Regulating the Tax on Buildings, Installations and Works (ICIO) of Santomera Town Hall.
The variation is based on three fundamental points and will suppose an approximate reduction of 20,000 euros in the annual revenues of the municipal coffers.
As explained by Councilor for Urban Planning, Joaquin Rubio, the first modified aspect is the inclusion of new bonuses for two assumptions: on the one hand, works undertaken by companies newly created and that promote employment will have a 30% Mentioned tax;
On the other, the rehabilitation of homes will have a 95% deduction, the maximum allowed by law.
In this last respect, the mayor said that the most immediate beneficiaries of this measure will be the two hundred families who have already decided to avail themselves of the Housing Rehabilitation Plan promoted by the City Council thanks to the subsidies offered by the central government and the Autonomous Community.
Secondly, the bonuses associated with projects that improve energy and thermal efficiency are increased from 90% to 95%.
Lastly, the modification of the ordinance specifies the reductions applicable to the construction of equipment of social interest in collective spaces, whose percentage was not previously specified.
Thus, deductions in the ICIO payment will reach 70% when the beneficiary of the works is a public entity, 65% if it is a non-profit organization and 30% when the works are private.
