The councils of Works and Services and Education have done their part: after investing 36,300 euros, the public school Ricardo Campillo already has a building perfectly adapted to host a school cafeteria.

Now it is up to him to move the card to the General Directorate of Centers, who at the time undertook to complete the project by providing both the furniture and the staff and the canteen service necessary for the start-up of the new unit.

The Santomera City Council has met this morning the resolution by which the head of Educational Promotion, José Luis Abenza, approve the implementation of said school cafeteria.

With these, the Councilor for Education, María José Medina, has been optimistic: "We trust in the word of the director general María Dolores Valcárcel, who committed before us, the direction and the center of the center to which the dining room began to function This same course ".

The mayor also emphasizes that this will satisfy "a long demand of the educational community of Ricardo Campillo", will be extended "more than fill the supply of existing dining places in our municipality" and "will allow us to move towards the goal that all Public centers provide the same services and are on an equal footing ".

The Councilor for Works and Services, Joaquín Rubio, recalled that the project has consisted in adapting a flag in disuse for its future use again.

One of the two classrooms that it possessed will happen to serve like refectory with capacity for forty commensals, whereas the other one has been divided to accommodate the kitchen and to a multipurpose room.

An office has also been set up to enable a wardrobe and a pantry and a new door has been built in the kitchen that facilitates access and exit of materials.

On the other hand, the existing toilets and cleaning room have been renovated.

Although the bidding budget reached 46,042.92 euros, "the free competition process opened by the City Council facilitated that the contract was awarded for only 36,300 euros," says Rubio.
