City council and various groups will collaborate to promote the thunder and the work of David Castejón Fernández
On Monday, the organizing committee of the events commemorating the 125th anniversary of the birth of David Castejón Fernández, known as the Patriarch of Trovo and the Trovero de la Huerta, was created.
The awards, promoted by the Friends of Music Association and Santomera Traditions, have the support of the Councils of Culture and Celebrations of the City Council, as well as other local and regional entities.
Although they have not yet transpired more details about the program in which it is already working, it is planned that the activities will take place during the months of May, September and October, coinciding in these last two cases with the Santomera patron saint festivities .
These will include an official presentation of the program, an evening trophy in the Municipal Auditorium, an institutional event, a round table on the thunder in Spain and Latin America and workshops to promote the art of rebirth among schoolchildren in the municipality.
In all of them, special attention will be paid to the life and work of 'Tío David Castejón', Santomera's Favorite Son and the Villa's Gold Medal.
