The mayor, Inmaculada Sánchez Roca, and Urban Planning Councilor, Joaquin Rubio Gomariz, presented this morning in the press room of Casa Grande the plan 'Santomera rehabilita', aimed at improving the residential fabrics by recovering historic sites, centers Urban, degraded neighborhoods and rural centers.
Under the motto 'If you improve your home, improve your life', the initiative provides important subsidies that can benefit both owners of single-family homes and communities of owners located in Santomera, El Siscar and La Matanza;
These aids not only refer to the cost of the works, but also to the entire protected budget, which also includes the technicians' fees or notary or registration expenses.
'Santomera rehabilita' is part of the State Housing Plan 2013-2016, recently extended for the current year, pending the approval of the corresponding to 2017-2020.
This plan provides for the grant by the State and the Autonomous Community of up to 47.25% of the total protected budget, with a maximum amount of 14,850 euros for rehabilitation works and 30,000 for full reconstructions.
The commitment on the part of Santomera City Council is more political than economic, since its role is limited to the realization of a technical report prior to the signing of a three-way agreement, as well as the implementation of the necessary mechanisms to facilitate access From citizenship to subsidies.
In this sense, and following the advice of the Directorate General for Land Management and Housing, the municipal government has contracted the services of a local architectural study, to provide a technical team that can devote itself exclusively to the issue.
"Betting on this plan is to bet on the local and productive economy, to revitalize the battered construction sector, to increase the quality of life of the neighbors and also to put in value the urban center and to have a more sustainable Santomera "Said the mayor.
"We have many illusions put into this plan, which involves improving the quality of buildings, energy efficiency, universal accessibility and conservation," he added.
According to Councilor Joaquín Rubio, not all rehabilitation actions are eligible, but the most important ones are those that involve structural improvements in facilities, decks or facades.
It also subsidizes the renewal of the urban environment, with a contribution of 2,000 euros to the City Council for each subsidized housing, which would allow, for example, the replacement of public lighting services or potable water supply.
"It is a global action that affects the reality of the people and that improves the living conditions of the citizens, we understand that it is necessary that the City Council bets to implant it in the municipality," said the mayor of Urbanism.
Information Meetings
With the aim of promoting the implementation of Santomera rehabilita to the maximum, the City Council has already planned the convocation of four meetings that will give details of the plan.
The first of them will be held next Friday, March 11, at 11 am in the Hall of Municipal Acts, and will be addressed to architects, surveyors and other professionals in the construction sector.
The second, or for individuals, will take place the same day in the same scenario, but from 20 hours.
Finally, on Saturday 12, to facilitate the attendance of interested, meetings with individuals will be transferred to the Theater of El Siscar (12 hours) and the Cultural Center of La Matanza (18 hours).
