The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'CHISGUETE', an investigation aimed at locating and arresting the perpetrators of several robberies with force in homes and garages, as well as careless thefts committed in the municipality of Santomera, which Has resulted in the arrest of three young men as alleged perpetrators of at least a dozen thefts.
Last November, members of the Benemérita specialized in prevention of public safety began the investigation by detecting the commission of several robberies with force in houses and garages of the municipality of Santomera, facts that had generated some social alarm among the population.
The evidence obtained showed a similar pattern in the illicit investigated as to the proximity of the assaulted houses, the type of objects stolen (small tools and mopeds) and a certain skill used for the opening of doors, which showed a Possible criminal experience.
Some of the crimes investigated were committed when those now in custody seized the keys and documentation of the owners of the property, by careless theft to later access the premises with greater impunity.
The Guardia Civil arranged several preventive operations aimed at monitoring the affected areas, while focusing the investigation on a young man, with a large criminal record for crimes of the same nature, who had recently returned to the municipality after remaining for some months outside.
To this first suspect was added another young man who had been seen in his company, during the weekends, lurking in one of the places where robberies and robberies had been committed, although during the week they kept hidden in their own familiar homes and Even outside the municipality to avoid their location and detention.
As long as vigilance was maintained over these, the Civil Guard surprised a third young man when he was forcing a garage, so he was arrested as alleged perpetrator of robbery with force on things.
In the wake of this arrest and as a result of the indications obtained during the investigation, the Benemérita has located and detained the rest of the suspects, one of them supposed leader of the group, who are attributed the alleged authorship of, at least , Five mopeds, two robberies in housing and three wallet thefts by mistake.
The operation 'CHISGUETE' has culminated in the arrest of three young men of Moroccan nationality, aged between 18 and 20 years and residents of Santomera as suspected perpetrators of robbery with force, vehicle abduction and careless theft .
The arrested and the investigations have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Murcia.
