With the incorporation of the social worker Salvadora Espín and the lawyer Rocío Miñarro, the Eastern Region has again provided today its own Specialized Care Center for Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI), based in Santomera.
Both workers join the psychologist María Inarejos, who was already in charge of the Special Care Point (PAE), so that the municipality recovers comprehensive support - labor, legal and psychological - for women who suffer gender violence, a service Which was already underway between 2008 and 2012. This has been possible thanks to a grant of 30,968.22 euros granted by the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities, as well as to the insistence on the issue of municipal government team.
The entry of the new female workers coincides with the transfer to the Casa de Don Salvador of the municipal services that until now were located in the Center of Women (in the House of Don Claudio, which will soon be restored).
Due to this, the CAVI will be installed starting next Monday in the newly renovated House of Don Salvador, located just thirty meters, next to the main road and the Plaza de la Almazara.
Those who need their services may find there the psychologist every Tuesday from 16 to 20:30 hours and Wednesday and Thursday from 9:15 to 14 hours;
To the social worker, on Wednesdays from 8 to 15 and from 15:30 to 18:30 hours;
And the legal counsel on Thursdays from 9:15 to 2:15 pm.
