The Town Council of Santomera, through the Department of Equality, has joined the events that are taking place today around the world on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The program has had the collaboration of the dance academies settled in the municipality, some neighboring volunteers and the secondary students of the two public institutes of the locality.
Earlier in the morning, 93 pairs of shoes, each accompanied by a candle and a poster with data from the victims, began to be placed in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, denouncing the 93 feminicides that have occurred in Spain along Of this year.
The assembly will remain installed until eight o'clock at night, when there will be a public rally in the same place, with the reading of a manifesto of revulsion against the macho violence and in favor of the good deals.
Other activities have had secondary students as main target: readings of manifests and own texts, as well as dances and an emotional minute of silence, have served to raise awareness among young people, accompanied by the mayor of Santomera, Inmaculada Sánchez Roca.
