The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Planning and Housing, funded the drafting of the project for the redevelopment of public gardens in the neighborhood of La Mota, in the town of Santomera.
According to the general director of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, the new garden will provide the urban area of this town "a meeting place for their neighbors, which will feature a sports senior circuit equipped with a spa, green areas and a children's recreation area. "
The performance will take place in the town of Santomera on two adjacent fields in the eastern part of town, between the Rue de la Mina and the way of the Grizzly, which form a rectangular block of about 6,000 square meters.
This is where there is now a garden dating from the eighties, when it became urbanized environment.
"Due to the development and growth of this area of the municipality, from the Ministry is behind this project, in collaboration with the City of Santomera, which will result in a public space renovated and adapted to the needs of the inhabitants of the municipality. Simultaneously , takes advantage of the location of the existing garden and, therefore, is responsible for land use and reinvents a recreational area, "said Antonio Navarro.
The project envisages the construction of a new public park equipped with a large number of services and street furniture required for the use and enjoyment of residents of all ages.
Include a playground for sports with a circuit for the rehabilitation and exercise for older people.
This grant is part of the architectural projects whose wording is funded by the regional government, whose objectives include actions to the adequacy of public spaces that promote local corporations.
The proposed solutions must pay particular attention to environmental considerations, such as using environmentally friendly materials and use of treated wastewater for irrigation.
