Three other councilors will have exclusive dedication to the City Council, so they will receive fourteen annual payments of 1,836 euros net
The opposition recovers the compensation for assistance to government bodies that the PP eliminated in 2011
The municipal plenary session approved last night what will be the retributions of their political positions throughout the recently begun term.
Only the two councilors of Alternativa by Santomera showed their disagreement with a proposal that the socialist government team describes as "fair and in accordance with the responsibilities assumed" and that in most of the assignments go back to values ​​almost identical to those established in 2007
The mayor, Inmaculada Sánchez Roca, will maintain her current salary, with fourteen annual payments of 1,860 euros net for a total of 35,000 euros gross, until next December 31st.
"It is a similar figure, even lower, to what a teacher charges," said the spokeswoman of the PSOE, María José Medina.
From 2020, your monthly payroll will rise to 2,145 euros, which means a gross annual increase of 5,000 euros.
Despite this, the current councilor will receive 14,000 euros less per year than her predecessor in office and will continue to be the worst paid mayor of Santomera in the last two decades.
As for the rest of councilors, there will be three total liberated: Javier Campillo Sánchez who also assumes the possession of mayor, Antonio Castillo Sánchez and Paloma Cánovas Mateo.
The three will stop developing their current work to focus on their work of municipal management, which will receive 34,000 gross euros per year, divided into fourteen net payments of 1,836 euros.
The other three councilors of the socialist government team, María José Medina Palao, Alberto Menárguez Oliva and María Jesús Férez Rubio, will not have salary, but will only charge for their assistance to the government bodies in which they participate as well as the mayors of the opposition, who came without receiving any compensation since the PP eliminated them in 2011. Payments will only be made if they are ordinary sessions, since the extraordinary will not be remunerated.
In relation to this last point, the councilors not released will receive 240 euros for their attendance to each full eleventh year, the last Thursday of each month, except for August, 200 for the maximum government meetings, one a week, 120 by the spokespersons' meetings prior to the plenary sessions and 75 by the bimonthly informative commissions.
Apart from that, no additional expenses are included for travel, travel expenses or expenses for any member of the Corporation, as well as no trust charge.
