The VII International Competition of Amateur Theater of Santomera (CiTA) yesterday threw the curtain with the last one of the six representations included in the program, initiated the past 5 of April.
For the stage of the Theater of El Siscar, focus of the six performances, have passed during the last two weekends two local companies Mar Teatro and Theater Group of El Siscar, both out of competition and four guests: Theater in Construction (Elche , Alicante), Caricato Theater (Villena, Alicante), La Barraca de Federico (San Pedro del Pinatar) and Yorick Teatre (Pinoso, Alicante).
The Department of Culture, organizer of this seventh edition of CiTA, has distributed a total of 2,100 euros in gratuities among the four visiting groups.
Each one of them took a help of four hundred euros to cover their expenses of assembly and displacement, to which Caricato Teatro added the remaining five hundred after having been chosen their 'Torito bravo' as the winner of the Best Show Award.
The company of Villena was the great winner of the contest, since it was also made with the Special Prize of the Public, the Best Direction Award (Juan Cigarro), the Best Actor Award (ex aequo for Andrés Martínez and Juan García) and the Best Costume Award
The remaining awards were more distributed.
Yorick Teatre won the awards for Best Set Design and Best Actress (Reme Carbonell, for Nazaria) thanks to her performance of 'Atra bile, when we are calmer'.
For its part, Teatro en Construcción won the Best Supporting Actor Award (Vicente Bonmatí, for Zabala, from 'Siete critos en el mar'), and La Barraca de Federico won the Best Supporting Actress Award (Lorena Hernández, by Laura Wingfield, from 'The Broken Unicorn').
