Twelve years later, Santomera will once again host the Thursday of Peace Meeting of the Region of Murcia, which this Saturday, March 30, is celebrating its fourteenth edition.
The historic Casa del Huerto will be the central stage of the event, which will be chaired by the mayor, Inmaculada Sánchez Roca, and which will also include the participation of the Councilor for Social Rights, Alicia Poza Sebastián, of the presidents of the Superior Court of Justice and of the Provincial Court of Murcia, Miguel Pasqual del Riquelme Herrero and Miguel Ángel Larrosa Amante, respectively, and the Acting Government Secretary of the TSJ, Miguel Ángel Soler López.
The heads and alternates of the 35 Peace Courts of the Region of Murcia are also called, many of whom have already confirmed their attendance.
The event, organized by the Santomera Peace Court in collaboration with the City Council, will start at 10:30 am with the reception of authorities in the Casa del Huerto, followed by a formal ceremony during which they will hand over the new appointments.
Next, the delegation will tour the nearby Casa Grande in the company of the official chronicler, Blas Rubio, and will travel to Cooperativa El Limonar to participate in a guided tour of the company's president, Rafael Sánchez.
The XIV Meeting of Judges of Peace of the Region of Murcia will close with a meal served in the courtyard of the Casa del Huerto.
