The Minister of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, visited the center of minors 'La Fuente', Santomera, which has opened its new facilities.
The center 'La Fuente', managed by the ST3 Foundation, is located on a plot of 8,500 square meters which includes a swimming pool, sports activities area and an independent wooden house where therapies are carried out with children.
There are currently nine adolescents residing in this reception center, of which the Community has assumed guardianship or guardianship since they are all in a situation of vulnerability with their families of origin.
The counselor highlighted the work of the professionals who care for the children, who are supervised by two psychologists and two social workers.
In addition, among the staff there are social educators, a nurse, nursing assistants and a psychiatrist who treats the adolescents who require it.
