The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, visited today rhythmic gymnastics clubs of Puente Tocinos and Santomera, which have closed a year of success, to "show the support of the regional government to sport and these two magnificent teams that leave us a year full of triumphs ".
The representatives of the Region of Murcia obtained last December, in Pamplona, ​​in the Absolute Spanish Championships of sets, two medals, one silver and one bronze, thanks to the performances of the benjaminas of the Santomera Rhythmic Club and the children of the Cronos Municipal Board of Bacons Bridge.
The Minister stressed the commitment of the regional executive for sport, and especially for the female with the creation of a pioneering program in the region for the promotion of women's sport endowed with 100,000 euros.
The Club Cronos JM Bacons Bridge, sports merit award as the most successful entity in 2018, is formed by 287 girls, during the past year they participated in numerous competitions, such as the four national championships, proclaiming themselves champions of Spain in junior category (15 -16 years) at the one held in Murcia (November).
In addition, in 2018 they made numerous exhibitions in different points of the Region of Murcia.
The Santomera Rhythmic Club is made up of 150 girls, has five golds, obtained by their athletes in the Individual Spain Championship by Clubs and Autonomies held in Zaragoza (June and July 2018).
