Taking advantage of the Christmas holidays, the City is carrying out various works to improve public schools that involve, in total, an investment of close to 55,000 euros from the municipal coffers.
Among the works that are being carried out, the complete climate control of the Arco Iris children's school and the CEIP Ricardo Campillo stand out, which will result in greater thermal comfort for the 500 children who attend these centers every day.
In the case of the school, the project has two important collaborators: the City Council provides seven of the twelve air conditioning units installed, while the other five have been acquired with funds from the shelter and the school itself.
Also the CEIP Our Lady of the Rosary will be able to premiere air conditioning at the return of the Christmas holidays.
The Ministry of Education finances the work of modernization of the electrical installation of the school that are being carried out these days and that will allow finally the connection of the machines of conditioned air that the City council installed a year ago now.
In this same center, in addition, the interior patio arrangement of the main pavilion and the perimeter walls is being executed.
Finally, at the Madre Esperanza school in El Siscar, we are proceeding to the elimination of leaks and dampness, as well as the covering of roofs with asphalt cloth and the adaptation of the children's playground.
