The government delegate, Diego Conesa, chaired this morning the act of signing the procedure of collaboration and coordination for the protection of victims of gender violence between the 5th Civil Guard Zone and the municipalities of Alhama de Murcia and Santomera through which its local police are incorporated into the VIOGEN system of the Ministry of the Interior.
"It is a very important step in this line of coordination between administrations that has given the municipalities of Alhama and Santomera to cooperate with the Civil Guard through a protocol that aims to end this scourge.I hope that the rest of town councils can go signing this agreement during the next months and that the 45 city councils of the Region are fully incorporated into this system within one or two years, "said the Government delegate.
The mayors of Alhama de Murcia, Mariola Guevara Cava, and of Santomera, Inmaculada Sánchez Roca, were in charge of signing, together with the Colonel of the 5th Zone, Jesús Arribas, a procedure that establishes the basic criteria of collaboration and coordination that will allow optimize the human and material resources of the existing Security Forces in each of the two municipal areas to ensure effective compliance with judicial measures to protect victims of gender violence.
