It is also attributed the alleged authorship of documentary falsification by the sale of 13 high-end mobile phones, valued at 11,000 euros, in the name of the victim
For more than a year and a half he seized 80,000 euros in cash
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has completed the operation 'FÁBULA 2.0' with the arrest of a young man from Molina de Segura, as alleged perpetrator of the crimes of extortion, fraud and falsification of documents, by appropriating, through deception and threats, 91,000 euros from a person suffering from a psychological disorder.
Last year, a citizen filed a complaint at the Santomera barracks, in which he revealed that he was a victim of alleged continuous crimes of fraud and extortion, that he had been suffering for more than a year and that he had been ripped off around 80,000 euros.
Given the seriousness of the events reported, agents of the Benemérita, specialized in citizen security prevention, initiated the corresponding investigation to verify the criminal acts and, if necessary, clarify them with the arrest of its author.
The first investigations allowed to confirm that the victim suffered from a psychological illness and that the author took advantage of this circumstance to extort and defraud the victim, also verifying that the complaint contained some unlikely and very unusual facts.
Apparently, the author, after knowing the victim and detecting the disorder he suffered, started a false virtual friendship, told him a fable in which unreal characters appeared as assassins of Eastern Europe, judges and corrupt policemen, keys of the century XII they used to open secret boxes, etc.
and he managed with this "story" that the victim gave him large amounts of money through intimidation.
With the details provided by the victim, the agents obtained some specific profiles of people from some social networks and mobile applications.
The detailed analysis of these profiles led the researchers to conclude that they could have been used by the same person, so the investigation was guided to know the identity of the suspect.
The technical work carried out by the Civil Guards paid off, as it made it possible to fully identify the suspect of being behind the authorship of the crimes investigated.
He was a Spanish citizen, aged 27 and a resident of Molina de Segura.
During the investigation, the investigators have verified that the suspect had cheated a total of 80,000 euros in cash, in addition to managing to obtain 13 high-end mobile terminals valued at 11,000 euros.
The latter were sold by the now arrested third party posing as the victim.
Once all the necessary evidence has been obtained, the Civil Guard has located and detained the suspect as alleged perpetrator of the crimes of extortion, fraud and documentary falsification.
The detainee and the proceedings ordered have been made available to the Court of Instruction number 5 of Murcia.
