The general director of Books, Archives and Libraries, Francisco Giménez, with the mayor of Santomera, José María Sánchez, today inaugurated the Municipal Library of the town after the refurbishment.
The rehabilitation of its reading room and the provision of new furniture and computer equipment provided an investment of 169,000 euros, provided over the past two years by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
At the same time, the municipality received a grant in the amount of 9,924 euros for the acquisition of bibliographic and it is expected that, throughout the year, receive an additional amount similar.
With it now has four libraries whose facilities have been renovated and opened along this year and have received aid from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Santomera addition, Lo Pagán (San Pedro del Pinatar) Roldán (Torre-Pacheco) and Cazares (Lorca) have received aid.
