The resources against youth unemployment center the first day of the Employment Fair (16/11/2017)

Twenty entities will publicize until Saturday their services to promote employability

The mayor of Santomera, Inma Sánchez Roca, the councilors of Employment and Training and Youth, Víctor Egío and María Jesús Férez, the general director of Youth, Francisco Javier Sánchez, and the director of the Employment and Training Service (SEF), Alejandro Zamora, have inaugurated this morning the I Job Fair of Santomera.

The exhibition, which will be open until this Saturday in the cemetery's parking lot (Calle de la Gloria, corner with Camino de la Mina), has been promoted by the City of Santomera with the aim of disseminating resources to find work that are disposition of the neighbors of the municipality.

The event has the participation of a score of entities that offer and disseminate their services for employment both on their stands and through presentations, conferences and even a short film series.

Among these are organizations such as the University of Murcia, the Red Cross, Ucomur, Amusal, CEOM, the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of the Region of Murcia (AJE), Repaín, the Murcia Organization of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals (OMEP), the Center of Local Development or the Young Employment and Youth Guarantee Service of the City of Santomera, to mention just a few.

During the opening day of today, young people are being specially affected, for which the visit of Vocational Training students of the IES Poeta Julián Andúgar and other centers of neighboring localities has been taken advantage of.

In this sense fits the conference 'Employment and training: experiences and good practices', led by the expert in education and social entrepreneurship Daniel Jover, scheduled for this afternoon.

Tomorrow, on the other hand, the focus will be on the social and solidarity economy, which will be two outstanding pillars of this I Job Fair of Santomera.

Both the general director of Youth and the director of the SEF have congratulated the City of Santomera for their initiative.

"It never hurts that among all of us we put to the knowledge of society the resources that the administration and other entities put at their disposal to find work, because, surprisingly, we find that many people are unaware of them," added Alejandro Zamora.

Fran Sanchez influenced that same idea, although, for his part, he opined that "employment is the most important social policy".

The mayor of Santomera, Inma Sánchez Roca, made a public acknowledgment to the councilors responsible for the areas of Employment and Youth, which extended to the workers who manage the Cedes (Local Development Center) and the Young Employment Service and Youth Guarantee of the Town hall.

He also recalled that Santomera is currently running three programs of local public employment and stressed the importance of "collaborating to obtain funds and that impact on those who need it most, long-term unemployed people, those who have not yet accessed their first employment or women with little education ".

"Santomera is generating employment in a remarkable way thanks to an intense work of information and guidance, and we also strive for new companies to settle in our municipality, which is why we recently approved the largest development of industrial land in the last twenty years" , has highlighted.

In any case, he clarified, "we have to keep improving those figures and fighting against precariousness and low wages."
