The Civil Guard arrests two people for defrauding a farmer from Santomera (13/06/2017)

They were passed through a corridor of horticultural products and by the owner of the farm

By deceiving, they sold a harvest of eighty tons of lemons to a third person

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'ENDOSADO', an investigation framed in the 'Plan against the abductions in agricultural and livestock farms', which has resulted in the arrest of two people as alleged perpetrators of scam For the fraudulent sale of eight tons of lemons.

The investigation began when the Civil Guard learned of the removal of 15 tonnes of lemons from a farm located in La Matanza-Santomera.

Research carried out by specialists from the ROCA Teams (against robberies in the field) made it possible to find out that the fruit had been harvested by another farmer who also had a purchase contract for the products.

The Civil Guard knew that this farmer had bought the entire lemon harvest to two people who, pretending to be the owner of the farm and a commercial dedicated to the agricultural sector, sold him, by deception, the production of citrus.

These alleged scammers charged the sale by means of an 'endorsed check'.

This modality allows the participation of several people in the collection of the corresponding amount which, in the case investigated, made it difficult to identify, a priori, the beneficiary of the same.

The collaboration of patrols of pedestrians of the Local Police of Orihuela (A) with the Civil Guard has allowed to identify one of the suspects, who had several addresses in that locality Alicante and that, moreover, had a large criminal history.

La Benemérita has inquired until she knows the identity of the suspects, one of whom signed the check, so that the second could be charged at a bank branch in Alicante.

The operation 'ENDOSADO' has culminated in the arrest of two men, 40 and 36 years old, from Seville and La Murada-Orihuela (A) as alleged perpetrators of fraud.

The arrested and the investigations have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Murcia.
