The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, Local Police Santomera and Civil Protection of Santomera have coordinated during the past dawn to jointly deploy a comprehensive search device of a neighbor of Santomera, which has culminated early in the morning with its location.

Around midnight, a neighbor from Santomera warned of the disappearance of a family member, 63 years old, with senile dementia and reduced mobility, who had left his home without knowing his location.

Due to the fact that the disappeared person was alone in her home at the time of the disappearance and on the suspicion that due to her reduced mobility and speech difficulty she could be found helpless in the vicinity of the house without being able to be detected, coordinated an urgent search device composed of members of the Civil Guard Prevention of Citizen Security and Cytological Service SYR (Security and Rescue), with a dog trained for tracking, with the support of Local Police and Civil Protection services of the town.

About 06:30 hours, effective participants in the device, with the support of canine agent (tracking people), have located about 500 meters from your home, lying on the ground in an orchard of lemon trees difficult to access, disappeared, who was stunned and with symptoms of hypothermia.

Due to the difficulty of the terrain where the missing person was found, he had to be moved by the agents to an accessible place to be attended by the health services of the 061.

The search device, coordinated at night before the urgency by the uncertainty of the state of health of the disappeared and in anticipation of the high temperature forecast for today, paid off by getting it in apparent good condition.
